The Zoobotanical Garden in Toruń is a place that combines the functions of a botanical garden and a zoo. The exact date of the establishment of the Botanical Garden (now Zoobotanical) in Toruń is not known, but it can be linked to the fact of the acquisition of the entire estate by Dr. med. Johann Gottlieb Schultz in 1797. Dr. Johann Gottlieb Schultz - a botanist by passion - organized the existing tree stand and introduced many valuable specimens of plants from various corners of Europe. He contributed to the establishment of a botanical garden with features of a romantic-landscape park with a rich utility program. Currently, the garden offers visitors the opportunity to see a variety of plant and animal species, including exotic birds, mammals, and reptiles. It is an excellent place for family trips and relaxation in the midst of nature.
