Consisting of two parts, it was built at the foot of the defensive walls in stages, from 1602 to 1934. The oldest and most valuable specimens of trees grow here (e.g. a 300-year-old sycamore maple - the so-called Witch's Tree). This part of the park also features a row of sugar maples.
