Diadynamic currents

  1. Treatment Description
Diadynamic currents are low-frequency currents. The pain-relieving effect of DD currents is related to the release of endorphins and an increase in local blood circulation. The treatment duration is 9 minutes, divided into 3 cycles of 3 minutes each.
  1. Therapeutic Effect
  • Pain-relieving action
  • Hyperemic (increased blood flow) effect
  • Anti-inflammatory effect
  • Reduction of muscle tension
  1. Indications
  • Degenerative disc disease of the spine and peripheral joints
  • Neuralgias (nerve pain)
  • Periarticular inflammations
  • Post-injury musculoskeletal conditions

Compression lymphatic drainage

It works on the principle of pneumatic compression. The air-filled chambers of the sleeves stimulate the flow of bodily fluids. This type of treatment is used to treat lymphatic edema, improve metabolism, accelerate the body's detoxification process, and reduce cellulite. As a result of stimulation of specific points on the body, there is better nourishment and functioning of cells, regulation of blood circulation, and improved function of internal organs. The skin subjected to the massage becomes firmer and more elastic.

Sulfide facies

This is a partial bath involving the immersion of the upper and lower limbs in sulfide water without the need to enter a bathtub. The effect of sulfide water during the use of sulfide facies is the same as when taking a full bath. It is used for individuals who have contraindications to taking a full body bath. The effects of the sulfide facies treatment include: improved circulation, stimulation of microcirculation, lowering cholesterol and glucose levels, exfoliation of the skin – natural peeling, soothing inflammation, minimizing pain and swelling in ankylosing spondylitis, discopathy, and rheumatoid arthritis. The treatment is performed in sulfide water at a temperature of 35–38 °C. Duration: 15 minutes. The number of treatments is determined individually by the attending physician or physiotherapist. Indications:
  • Degenerative rheumatic diseases
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Inflammatory spine joint disease
  • Skin problems, allergies, discoloration, dermatoses
  • Back pain, ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
  • Post-traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system
  • Peripheral artery disease (Raynaud's disease, Buerger's disease)
  • Gout
  • Psoriasis, osteoporosis, joint cartilage diseases, osteoarthritis

Phonophoresis

  1. Description of the Procedure
Phonophoresis is a treatment that involves the introduction of appropriate medications through the skin using ultrasound energy. The duration of the procedure ranges from 3 to 8 minutes per area, depending on the pathological condition and the area being ultrasonically treated.
  1. Therapeutic Effect
  • Increased permeability of cell membranes, which facilitates the penetration of therapeutic chemical compounds through the skin
  • Pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects
  • Expansion of blood vessels
  1. Indications:
  • Rheumatic diseases
  • Neuralgia
  • Degenerative joint diseases

Galvanization

  1. Description of the Procedure
Galvanization is an electrotherapy treatment involving the flow of direct current through the patient's body between two electrodes of opposite polarity. Duration of the procedure: 15 minutes.
  1. Therapeutic Effect:
  • Pain relief
  • Improvement of sensation
  • Increased blood circulation
  • Reduction of nerve tension
  1. Indications:
  • Pain syndromes in the course of degenerative spinal joint disease
  • Neuralgia
  • Nerve inflammation

Hydro Jet - Wellsystem

This treatment involves a mechanical massage of the entire body on a dry water bed, which improves blood circulation and relaxes the muscles. The combination of three elements: force, heat, and water, determines the exceptional effects of the therapy, which helps eliminate daily tension, fatigue, and stress. Duration of the procedure: 15 minutes. Indications:
  • Fatigue
  • Increased muscle tension

Iontophoresis

  1. Description of the Procedure
Iontophoresis is an electrotherapy treatment that involves introducing drug ions into the tissues using the force of an electric field during the procedure. Duration of the procedure: 15 minutes.
  1. Therapeutic Effect – depending on the medication used:
  • Pain relief
  • Anti-inflammatory effect
  1. Indications:
  • Inflammatory conditions within the joints
  • Pain syndromes of various origins
  • Increased muscle tension, contractures

Dry Carbonic Bath

The therapeutic effect of carbon dioxide is based on the dilation of capillary blood vessels, both arterial and venous. The result of this CO2 action is a decrease in blood pressure, both normal and elevated due to illness, as well as a slowing of the heart rate. Duration of the bath: 15 minutes. Indications:
  • Hypertension
  • Ischemia of the lower limbs due to atherosclerosis
  • Functional heart diseases
  • Burns, frostbite

Ozone Bath

Ozone is used as a sterilizing and disinfecting agent, as well as for improving cellular metabolism by increasing oxygen delivery to tissues. When combined with oxygen, ozone enhances peripheral circulation in the lower limbs, promotes better oxygenation of ischemic tissues, has anticoagulant and anti-atherosclerotic effects, and acts as a disinfectant for wounds and ulcers. Indications:
  • Hypertension and hypotension
  • Chronic musculoskeletal diseases: rheumatic and degenerative diseases
  • Rehabilitation after injuries
  • Various types of neuroses (e.g., hyperactivity)
  • Insomnia

Sulfur Bath

Sulfur Bath is one of the most potent balneological treatments. It strongly dilates blood vessels, causing localized reddening of the skin, which helps in the treatment of peripheral artery atherosclerosis. The bath lowers cholesterol, triglyceride, and uric acid levels, which is beneficial in the treatment of diabetes and gout. Additionally, sulfur baths have anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, and detoxifying effects, especially for heavy metal poisoning (lead, mercury, bismuth, and arsenic). The bath is taken in a seated position at a temperature of 35-38°C. Duration: 15 minutes. The number of treatments is determined individually by the attending physician. Indications:
  • Rheumatic diseases of a degenerative nature
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Spinal arthritis
  • Skin problems, allergies, discolorations, dermatoses
  • Back pain, ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
  • Post-traumatic musculoskeletal disorders
  • Peripheral artery atherosclerosis (Raynaud’s disease, Buerger’s disease)
  • Gout
  • Psoriasis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Joint cartilage diseases
  • Degenerative changes in joints (arthrosis)
Contraindications:
  • Recent myocardial infarction
  • Coronary artery disease with exertional angina
  • Acute disease states, chronic debilitating diseases
