50 years have passed like one day…
In October 1974, Hotel "Gazda" began its operations in the Gromada hotel chain – now known as Hotel Gromada in Zakopane. Guests often say that our hotel has a "soul" and they gladly return, recommending us to their friends. The soul of the hotel is created by people, and a ceremony was prepared for former and current employees to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hotel Gromada in Zakopane.
The meeting took place on October 18 this year, in the hospitable halls of the hotel restaurant "Sport Corner." The meeting was attended by members of the Supervisory Board, with Chairwoman – Barbara Tomczyk, the Management Board led by President – Krzysztof Moczulski, members of the Southern Group Cooperative, former and current hotel employees. The meeting was opened by the Hotel Director - Andrzej Kozak, who expressed gratitude on behalf of everyone: members of the Southern Group Cooperative, former and current directors Władysław Kurzydło and Andrzej Kozak, as well as employees. He attentively mentioned the late Vice President of OST Gromada - Henryk Skoczylas, who significantly contributed to both the establishment of this Hotel and the entire "Gromada hotel chain," as well as the first Hotel Director - Adolf Warzecha. Commemorative diplomas and gifts were then presented to the most deserving employees. The next item on the agenda was a performance by artists from the Witkacy Theatre in Zakopane, during which the history of tourism in Zakopane was humorously presented. After the performance, guests were treated to a festive dinner accompanied by music. The ceremony took place in a very warm, almost family atmosphere, and guests will long remember this event.
